Disney and More – Saga Egmont Expands Children’s Audiobook Program

Saga Egmont Germany is increasingly focusing on young listeners and has decided to expand its portfolio of audiobooks specifically for the age group three to nine years.

A central component of the expansion is the publication of 85 audiobooks by Disney based on successful films such as “Frozen”, “Cars” and “Finding Nemo”, which are now also being offered in various streaming platforms for the first time.

The expanded audiobook portfolio also includes around twenty additional titles from popular children’s brands such as “Peppa Pig” and “Moomins”. The expansion of the catalogue is finalized by new editions of audiobooks by German-language authors.

Inga Wurzbach joins the Saga Egmont team as the new children’s book editor, bringing her experience from her previous role as an editor in the manga section at Egmont’s publishing house in Berlin. Her joining the team is part of a continued commitment to consistently expand and improve the offering for young audiences.

“With the expansion of our children’s audiobook range, we want to immerse young listeners in the magical worlds of their favourite stories. Adding Disney titles and stories from popular brands to our catalogue gives us the fantastic opportunity to create listening experiences that inspire and excite children. We are also keen to reach as many children as possible with these stories to encourage the joy of listening and the development of children’s imaginations everywhere,” explains Signe Hohwü Olesen, Editor-in-Chief at Saga Egmont Germany.
